Affiliate disclosure
Some pages link to products, such as parental control apps. Some of these are affiliate links. If you buy through one, Family Decisions may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.
Every affiliate link is labelled where it appears. We only recommend products we think genuinely help families, and we always mention free options, such as the controls already built into your devices, first. Commissions never change the guideline numbers or the advice in our tools.
Using this site
Family Decisions provides general educational information for Australian parents and carers. It isn't medical, psychological or legal advice, and it doesn't create a clinical relationship. The tools give suggestions based on national guidelines, and you're the best judge of what suits your family.
If you're worried about your child's health, development or safety, talk to your GP or another health professional. In an emergency, call 000.
Accuracy
We base our numbers on the Australian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines and information from the eSafety Commissioner, and we show the date each source was last checked. Guidelines and laws change, so please check the original source for anything important.
Our content
The text, tools and designs on this site belong to Family Decisions. You're welcome to print and share your own family plan. Please ask before reproducing our content elsewhere.
Links to other sites
We link to other websites, such as government sources and products. We aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your information.
Purchases
If you buy a product from us, such as a printable pack or course, the details and price are shown before you pay. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Family Decisions isn't liable for loss arising from use of the free information and tools on this site. This doesn't exclude any guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. We may update them from time to time, and the date at the top shows when they last changed. Questions? Email [email protected].
